Public Art Master Plan

Brecknock Consulting were engaged to develop a Public Art Master Plan for the City of Ballarat. The Master Plan provides a strategic framework for the future development of contemporary public art and the promotion and care of this collection as a whole, including Ballarat’s rich legacy of significant heritage public artworks. The Plan covers Ballarat’s CBD, Suburban Centres, New Growth Areas, Natural Environment and City Entrances and identifies both permanent and temporary public art opportunities. The Plan also sets out procedures to ensure best practice in the planning and management of public art. Ballart’s vision is to commission contemporary public art that continues its tradition of engaging with some of the big issues of the day and to create a public art legacy for future generations.
