Highland Reserve

Developer Stockland commissioned an artwork to feature within the lake of their residential estate at Highland Reserve, situated at Coomera in the Gold Coast hinterland. Local artists Lubi Thomas and Adrian Davis developed a series of sculptural works which inhabit the lake environment. Anchored on chains, the lily-like forms drift in circles around each other and the lake’s edges, propelled by breezes and reflecting the sky and the surrounding landscape in their polished steel fins. As a family of forms in dynamic relation, the artwork alludes to the human circles of friends and family relations, and the wider cycles of life in all living environments.
