Brecknock Consulting was part of the Hassell team developing a precinct wide Master Plan on behalf of the Major Projects Group of the South Australian government. The Adelaide Riverbank Precinct has been a significant development area including the new Promenade that links the Adelaide Festival Centre and new Adelaide Convention Centre. As part of the first stage of implementation two major artworks were commissioned and artists were also involved in the development of concepts for a precinct signage system. Artists Greg Johns and George Popperwell were each commissioned to create a significant sculpture in recognition of their significant contribution to South Australian sculpture. The signage totems were developed by Ian Kidd Design based on concepts by artists Mark Blackman, Neil Cranney and Marijana Tadic.
