Gasworks Arts Park Review

Brecknock Consulting, with Andrew Bleby and Associates, undertook a strategic review of the Gasworks Arts Park in South Melbourne to assess sustainability and community value of facilities and programs. The review considered theatre programming, visual arts studios and exhibition spaces and considered present and potential levels of financial investment by Council and other sources. An evaluation of the proposed redevelopment of the performing arts centre was undertaken, to ensure the viability of this established and important local arts centre. During the review the team consulted with the elected members of Council, the Gasworks Board, Gasworks management and staff, representatives of the resident artists and key stakeholders to explore the current situation and future opportunities.
