Edgewater

Edgewater is a planned residential development by Delfin Lend Lease on 95 hectares of what was the Australian Defence Industries' Explosive Works and Ammunition Factory. The first public artwork to be commissioned was a series of three sculptural elements by Cliff Burtt in corten steel. The work references two of the major features of the site; the landscape and Maribyrnong River and the site's past as an ammunition factory and blasting powder magazine. Artist Robert Bridgewater also selected to undertake urban art commissions for this project.
