“Thinking Through the City” Strategy
Client: City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, SA, 2009
Brecknock Consulting were engaged to review Council’s Minor Public Artworks program, to make recommendations and to develop a five to ten year strategy and implementation program. The resulting strategy “Thinking Through the City” has as its primary focus a form of artist-in-residency that provides dedicated, quality thinking time for a “Lead Creative”. It seeks to provide an opportunity to focus not simply on public art outcomes, but importantly on a creative process. The goal was to forge a creative intersection between process and outcome across a range of platforms; and the development of different strands of content/expression from a single concept or theme.
