Brecknock Consulting was engaged to curate and project manage the inclusion of a dynamic public artwork for the Queensland Museum New Entry and Sciencentre Redevelopment. Through collaboration with museum staff and research within the museum itself, artist Brook Andrew developed the concept for the ANP (Animated Neon Protozoan) to reinterpret the internal activities of the museum and to reflect the museum's collections and areas of groundbreaking research. The resulting artwork illuminates the museum entry with an eye catching green neon glow evoking the curiosity of commuters on Melbourne and Grey Streets and alluding to the dynamic collections housed within.
