As part of Queensland Health’s commitment to the Art Built-in policy Brecknock Consulting were engaged to manage the commissioning of artworks for Hope Vale Primary Health Care Centre as part of eight Queensland Health Capital Works projects in Far North Queensland. The focus of the facility was on wellness and it was hoped that the facility would be accessed and used by the community for a wide range of purposes, not solely health-based. The main artwork opportunity identified for the facility involved artwork from local painters and printmakers being translated into designs for the laser cut screens.
