Creative City: Brisbane’s Cultural Strategy 2003-2008

Brecknock Consulting in association with Charles Landry from COMEDIA, UK and Lyndon Terracini were engaged to develop a Creative City Policy for metropolitan Brisbane. The project involved a detailed review of Council’s cultural activity over the last ten years, extensive internal and external consultation including stakeholder Focus Groups. The final policy framework provided a whole of Council approach to the delivery of cultural services through interdepartmental partnerships and is based on four ‘outcome areas’. These are: Brisbane’s People; The Brisbane Experience; Brisbane Style; and The Brisbane Way.
